I am freshly qualified as a Practitioner from Wild Light Shiatsu School (2025). My studies had a major focus on the emotions, how they are held in the body and how, with sensitive touch and understanding, old patterns can be released. Receiving shiatsu is nourishing and supportive for a whole range of conditions. It helps the individual move towards awakening mental and physical health and wholeness, and restores the body’s vitality. I am based in South Devon, offering treatments in Buckfastleigh, Ashburton and Totnes. I also offer shiatsu on wellbeing retreats, as well as supporting a local charity offering shiatsu to women with chronic health conditions. I am particularly interested in complex mental and emotional issues, supporting people though grief, fear, trauma, depression and emotional distress. In addition, I treat many conditions to maintain your general wellbeing, including supporting everyday vitality; Insomnia Back pain Arthritis Chronic fatigue Anxiety Asthma Digestive issues Women’s cyclical issues. Pregnancy and the post-natal period Menopause I am inspired by the healing that can happen in the space between the practitioner and client. Through touch and the depth of connection in this form of bodywork, there is an insight which is revealed beyond the scope of what we can express verbally. Something unique of each individual is revealed within the safety of the practitioner / client relationship. I would add, you don’t need an ailment or a condition to benefit greatly from what shiatsu has to offer. Shiatsu’s intentional touch is restorative, energy giving and can support your creativity and self worth.
Jacqueline Graham
Jacqueline began nursing in 1987 until 2001. After which, she began her Complementary Therapy journey in 2003 while training in her Diploma of Holistic Therapies. During this time, she learned Aromatherapy and Aromatherapy Massage, as well as Reflexology. She also trained in Reiki and became a Reiki Master. At this time she had a brief but deeply meaningful experience of Shiatsu. Which remained with her. After moving to Hong Kong, Jacqueline finished a course on Crystal Healing and started using crystals in almost all of her treatments. She worked in a clinic and also ran many of her own Crystal Healing and Reiki courses both in Hong Kong and Beijing. But throughout all this, Jacqueline still held a strong belief that she was meant to learn Shiatsu. In 2015 Jacqueline moved back to Scotland, and in 2022 finally started her 3 year Shiatsu course at the Glasgow School of Shiatsu. From a young age, Jacqueline has been able to work with energy on a very deep level, and loved working with crystals. Her ability for energy work has deepened over the years, and she frequently uses crystals as part of her Shiatsu treatments. Jacqueline feels that Shiatsu has been the ‘missing link’ that she has been looking for to enhance her energy work. Energy work is the basis for all her treatments, no matter which modality she is giving. It’s her deep understanding of this side of her work that enables her to help people work through trauma that is still held in the body, both physically and emotionally. Jacqueline has also trained in the Level1 Protective Patterns of Trauma, NeuroPath Reset Method. When Jacqueline is not working, she can often be found in the Dojo practicing Kendo. She holds a high Dan and is a a very active member of the Scottish Kendo community. She also enjoys anything in nature including wild mountainous walks.

I first discovered the beauty of Shiatsu during my pregnancy, a turbulent time in my life full of mental and physical change. As a receiver, Shiatsu grounded and supported me, calming my whirling emotions and caring for my changing body. It’s safe to say that I fell deeply in love with it and decided to pursue this interest by spending 6 years studying the discipline in my home country, Italy. To this day I am continuously studying and finetuning my techniques to improve my client’s psychophysical wellbeing through Shiatsu. Over the years, I have experimented with various support techniques for the body, mind, and spirit, building a knowledge which I bring together in each of my treatments. I gained my diploma in the European School of Shiatsu in Rome, and am also qualified for Massage Therapy, Crystal Healing, and Reiki. I am fully insured and a member of the Shiatsu Society

My shiatsu journey started in 2009 and I remain captivated by shiatsu to this very day. For me shiatsu is a therapy like no other. I often think of shiatsu as a dance between the practitioner and the receiver. The magic happens in between. I listen carefully to what the receiver’s body is communicating and let my hands be guided accordingly. "Our unprocessed experiences can get held in the body, calling for attention. Making contact with these abandoned places often facilitates a deep release and consequently a space for a new way of being." I pay attention to movement of Ki and harmonise its flow. I draw on my knowledge of Five elements transformation to get a deeper insights into patterns manifesting in the client’s body. I am continuously learning and discovering the power of presence, connection, attunement, curiosity and spaciousness. Each treatment is different depending on the needs of the client. I work with what reveals itself within each unique session. I love practicing shiatsu; it’s been a part of my life for over a decade and my engagement with Ki continuously keeps deepening and offering new insights into myself. I qualified in shiatsu in 2011 at the Devon School of Shiatsu. I’ve also been teaching Shiatsu at at International Macrobiotic School since 2023. My practice is based in Totnes.

I’m passionate about empowering people to experience a more authentic connection with themselves and others through bodywork. From my own experience of bodywork I have discovered the potential that it has for healing trauma and supporting healthier attachments. I have a background in the Arts and Theatre. Whilst completing my Theatre studies at Dartington College of Arts I discovered the Alexander technique which sparked an interest in bodywork. Our bodies are such wonderful instruments and I love that shiatsu offers the body a 'voice' through the subtle diagnostic mapping system. It 'tells' me where to move, what to treat and aligns you, the receiver, to tap into a deeper relationship with your body too. Somatic intelligence has always been one of my primary channels - I'm a lover of movement - I dance, I climb, and spent 7 years learning yogic practices and philosophies in Asia - again, very body orientated. I qualified at the Northern School of Shiatsu in 2003, although I would say my shiatsu journey really began in India in 1999, where I received my first shiatsu and was blown away by the mental and emotional peace and clarity that I experienced that day, despite struggling with challenging circumstances and health problems. Receiving shiatsu is a supportive, enabling step toward awakening mental and physical health and wholeness. While I treat many conditions, I've particular interests in mental and emotional wellbeing, menopause and women's cyclical health.
