Grassroots Shiatsu
Schools and individual teachers throughout the UK offer Grassroots Shiatsu education through workshops, events or courses that run from one day to a more intensive 6-month introduction.
Grassroots Shiatsu can provide a hands-on opportunity to learn basic skills to support your friends and family. These sessions are taught by fully qualified practitioners who have completed 3 years of training.

Wellbeing Practitioner
A Wellbeing Practitioner is a qualification for practitioners who have completed a ratified 1-year training course and would like to offer a specific type of treatment.
This level of qualification stands alone and allows practitioners to offer treatments that are based on the principles, philosophy and techniques of Shiatsu but are practised for wellbeing and are not aimed at treating problematic conditions.

L4 Diploma in Shiatsu
The Diploma in Shiatsu is the professional certification required to become a qualified Shiatsu Practitioner. This includes a rigorous process of professional and personal development and a total of 1000 hours of learning and practice.
We encourage practitioners to choose to study with SSUK ratified Shiatsu schools to ensure that their training has undergone internal and external quality control.
