Joining as a professional member means you receive specialist Shiatsu insurance as part of your membership fee at what we believe is a highly competitive rate, negotiated on your behalf, as well as being eligible for multi-therapy insurance at the discounted rate of just £17 per year

Attend our Members' Support Group Meetings 

Our Zoom monthly meetings are a great way to meet other practitioners, share ideas and make new friends. Meetings take place on the first Monday of the month, 10 times a year, covering a range of topics.

A Professional Profile on our Website 

Professional practitioners (MrSS, SrSS and FwSS)  are able to create an extensive profile page on the website to promote your practice - you are able to link people straight to your page using your unique URL as well as adding places you work to our map. Every so often we run exclusive opportunities for members such as our Shiatsu Awareness Month bursary – which gave members the opportunity to apply for a £50 bursary to support the June campaign. Join the CHNC without assessment

Since we are a verifying organisation with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) you can join this government Accredited Register without undergoing any further assessment. 

Join our Global Shiatsu Network

Your membership expands internationally. We are a member of the European Shiatsu Federation, and we communicate with the international Shiatsu Research Network.

Your membership allows us to administer the Level 4 Diploma free of charge. It helps to ensure that the quality assurance of Shiatsu education is maintained. Your membership enables us to support the next generation of Shiatsu practitioners with specially developed business resources and a dedicated education team focused on making sure the Level 4 Diploma is nationally recognised.

Your support enables us to continue to lobby the Government to have our members acknowledged as essential healthcare workers. 

We are core members of the Integrated Healthcare Collaborative and we work with Government recognised Regulators in voluntary regulation of Shiatsu in the UK (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) to establish Shiatsu as an officially recognised therapy
