Pamela Thorpe
I love offering shiatsu and have been practising shiatsu since the late 1980's . Over the years I have gained wide experience in supporting peoples health and wellbeing and have enjoyed working with people of all ages and in widely varying health circumstances. I have developed particular skills in supporting people around cancer and have worked within a cancer care in the NHS for many years. I have also enjoyed working with women to support fertility and during pregnancy and completed a foundation level in Doula training . In 2013 I decided to train in Qigong and feel this practice has enriched my shiatsu. I have loved sharing shiatsu skills within the community and have taught many self help classes using acupressure, shiatsu and movement .

Edwina Cheng
I have been a member of the Shiatsu Society since December 1996. My introduction to Shiatsu was whilst I was studying for my final Chartered Accountancy exams (a lifetime ago!). I was experiencing some of the classic symptoms of stress - insomnia, anxiety, muscular tensions and an inability to focus coupled with feeling down a lot of the time. I knew I had to regain some balance in my life. My search led me to Shiatsu. When I came for my first treatment, it was immediately obvious that this was more than just a relaxing massage, but a treatment that had begun to address my personal health and sense of wellbeing on a profound level. That experience set me on a path very different to the one I had started on. The more I discovered about Shiatsu, the more the idea of becoming a Shiatsu Practitioner resonated. It felt like I was coming home. In over 26 years of experience as a Shiatsu Practitioner, I continue to be passionate about being able to help others experience positive change within their lives. I have given Shiatsu in a variety of settings including Greenwich Natural Health Centre, Immune Development Trust, Active Birth Centre, The Treasury, Corporate events, Pamper Evenings and school events. I have a Diploma (Part I/II/III) in 'Shiatsu for Maternity' and am also a Hypnobirthing Teacher.
Liz Arundel
Liz Arundel is passionate about Shiatsu and teaching. She has been a member of the Shiatsu Society register of practitioners since 1987. Liz started her training in 1984 at the British School of Shiatsu-Do, London. She had the good fortune to study with eminent teachers: Ray Ridolfi, Master Ohashi, Pauline Sasaki and Shizuto Yamamoto in the 80s and 90s. Liz studied Cranio Sacral Therapy with a leading teacher Thomas Attlee. But for most of her Shiatsu life, she has been mentored by Saul Goodman, the pioneer of Shiatsu Shin Tai. She has taught Shiatsu for over 35 years and specialises in Shiatsu Shin Tai. This is a dynamic form of body work that fuses traditional Shiatsu (using thumb, palm and elbow pressure on meridians) with more subtle and gentle touch. This includes techniques to release the soft tissue (fascia), structural assessment and treatment using Muscle Energy Techniques and chakra work. Liz includes Cranio Sacral Therapy in a session which is excellent for babies, children and those in acute pain because it is so gentle. The aim of the treatment is to restore motion, alignment and vitality to the mind and body. It aims to recover space and bring ease and to release long held patterns of stress and future anxieties or projections. Liz specialises in: Trauma Grief and depression Muscular skeletal injuries Digestive issues
