Our popular SAM Bursary is back!

Our £50 bursary can be used to support your Shiatsu Awareness Month Activities. Open to MrSS, SrSS and FwSS Members of SSUK. 

The only mandatory eligibility criteria for receiving this bursary is that on application, you must be, and have been a fully paid up Member of the Society for at least two years (unless a new graduate). The bursary will be paid directly to you, the Member, and the Society requires no subsequent ‘proof’ of spend/usage. All we ask is that the money is used in the spirit of the award, the grant being made to fund activities that will, broadly, further awareness of Shiatsu during Shiatsu Awareness Month. We would appreciate you subsequently writing a short account of how you used the money. These summary articles will be collated and shared, anonymously if requested, in future editions of the Journal, the website and/or social media – just to show the range of activities and opportunities out there.

There is a maximum spend on this initiative – we have a pot of £3000 – so the bursaries will be awarded on a first come first served basis, with a limit of £50 per person.  Each member can apply once – so please apply ASAP. The deadline for applications is Monday 13th May 2023. If the bursary pot is filled by applications before this date it will close early. 

Shiatsu Awareness Month is in June

As with previous years we will be celebrating Shiatsu Awareness Month alongside Shiatsu Without Borders month in June, working with the ESF to raise awareness of Shiatsu.
