The Northern School of Shiatsu is running a three-weekend Foundation Course over the following dates: -

2\3 September 23
7\8 October 23
4\5 November 23

The focus of this short course is to introduce students to Shiatsu and the core skills for giving Shiatsu. This will include treatment routines (but not meridians) for working in prone, supine, side, and sitting position. Our aim is to support students to develop skills and feel comfortable connecting with the body using primarily thumb and palm pressure, stretches and rotations. The course will look at self-care exercises and tools for both givers and receivers. The students will be introduced to the Five Element Theory and basic anatomy. There will be plenty of opportunities to practice on each other and start to develop your skills. The cost of the course is £300, which can be paid in monthly instalments.
