Laura Bell
Meeting you, in this moment. The nurturing touch of Shiatsu provides a safe space for energy and emotions to shift, creating lasting changes. I gained my diploma in Shiatsu and Oriental Medicine in 2006 from the Ki Kai school of Shiatsu in London. Following this, I practised professionally in a number of venues including Enfield Drug and Alcohol project; Eastern Garden at the Portobello Clinic in West London and ran a private weekly practice in Hackney, North London. I have also worked at various festivals giving Shiatsu over the years. After 5 years of continuous practice, I moved to Poole, Dorset in 2011 with my children. I have continued to develop my Shiatsu informally whilst bringing up my family and teaching English in secondary schools. I am now returning to Shiatsu professionally and am available for private treatments from my home in Wimborne, Dorset. Shiatsu works with energy, Qi or 'life force'; clearing blocks and strengthening weakness, which if left to continue can lead to injury and chronic ill health. It is a holistic treatment which works on the traditional acupressure points and the meridian lines that connect them. It has both physical, psychological and spiritual benefits. Shiatsu provides a deeply relaxing and supportive quality of touch which awakens the body's self healing process. It can be helpful for joint and muscle pain, injury rehabilitation, stress, substance abuse and addiction, anxiety and depression and fertility problems. Shiatsu may also be helpful for digestive disorders, sleep problems, hormonal problems, headaches, amongst many other issues. I work on a comfortable mat on the floor and the treatment is received fully clothed. I offer ongoing exercises and lifestyle suggestions in order that people can take responsibility for their own well-being. In Shiatsu underlying causes of ill health are addressed, which means that conditions should improve rather than continue to re-occur. Shiatsu enables you to relax deeply, release at your own pace and restores your body to a healthy balance. Bazyli Golinski
Hi, I am Baz Golinski and I am a qualified Shiatsu Practitioner and Teacher registered with Shiatsu Society (UK). In my practice I specialise in Shiatsu Shin Tai, an innovative style of Shiatsu which helps to clear stress from the body and restore vitality and inner balance. I discovered Shiatsu over 10 years ago at a mind-body-spirit festival where I have received a taster treatment. It left me feeling so inspired that I enrolled in the 3 year Shiatsu Practitioner Diploma course at the Northern School of Shiatsu. Shiatsu has helped me transform my own health (anxiety and low self esteem) and brought me a sense of self-acceptance and inner power. Since then, I have undertaken post-graduate training with respected teachers in Shiatsu Shin-Tai and Central Channel Release. I continue to develop my professional skills by attending regular workshops and training courses. In early 2022 I completed a shiatsu teacher training programme with Northern School of Shiatsu and I am excited to join the Team. For my own health and well-being, I regularly practise yoga, meditation, running and hiking in the wilderness. I am currently offering a mobile service (home visits) in the Leeds area. Summary of qualifications: MRSS (Member of the Register of the Shiatsu Society) 3 Year Shiatsu Practitioner Diploma with Northern School of Shiatsu Post-graduate Training in Shiatsu Shin Tai and Central Channel Release Qualified Teacher registered with Shiatsu Society (UK)
