I received my 1st treatment from my father when I was 6 years old. He was studying shiatsu practiced his new skills diligent on his children. When I was 18, I completed a 3 week intensive introduction training in Antwerp, Belgium. But it was not until I was 32 when my life suddenly turned upside down with a burn out on top, that I started to receive and study shiatsu more in depth along with my macrobiotic training in Devon. Shiatsu was 1 of the few therapies my body could cope and relax with. With all the stresses in my system winding down, I reconnected with my own inner Qi and a sense of Silence - Resilience within. In my macro training it was the Shiatsu I loved most, that wordless communication between receiver and giver. Soon I had people asking me for sessions and supporting me to carry on with this healing art. So I did, maybe not the most conventional way from A to Z in 3 years. But rather a slow unfolding from childhood till now and still more is unfolding.
