About me

I have been practising shiatsu since 1997. My initial shiatsu training was with the British School of Shiatsu-Do, and I have completed further training with Wellmother and the Shiatsu College. I am registered with the Shiatsu Society as a practitioner and teacher.

I have a background in academic research. I have worked as a researcher at the Universities of Leeds, Manchester and Salford, and I have published work around emotional processes in psychotherapy, counselling training, and experiences of shiatsu.

I have higher education teaching experience in shiatsu, health studies and psychology. I teach for the Shiatsu College (Manchester), and run independent short courses/day workshops in shiatsu.

I enjoy expressing my creativity through poetry and dance. I have practiced 5 Rhythms and Movement Medicine for many years. I am now an Apprentice practitioner (but not a teacher) of Movement Medicine.
