International Shiatsu Day

International Shiatsu Day (ISD) is being held on June 9th 2024.

As part of Shiatsu Awareness Month and the ESF's Shiatsu Without Borders we are underlining the message of the “Art of conscious contact” which goes beyond any separation due to nationality, language, culture, religion, skin colour or gender.

Through these initiatives, we promote Shiatsu and raise awareness among institutions and public opinion, of the values and benefits of our discipline for a better quality of life.

This year the ISD will focus on “Shiatsu as a message of Peace”; each encounter between practitioner and receiver is unique and involves deep listening, acceptance, gentleness, true dialogue….all qualities that our society is badly needing at the moment!

If you want to do your part and create this “Shiatsu Wave” please visit the ISD website

How to participate?

+ Download the ISD logo and upload it on your website/profile, stories

+ Post any contribution (a photo, a sentence, a short video) of the activity you organized
with the hashtag # international shiatsuday. It is a way to give greater visibility to our profession,
to inform that the Shiatsu population includes a large number of professionals who can be relied
on to recover resources and vitality.

+ If you like, you can send multimedia material of your ISD to be published on their website or to be
integrated in the ISD communications.
