SEED runs postgraduate CPD courses on Movement Shiatsu. This is an approach to physical therapy in which the client is an active explorer, learning to feel their own Qi and how to activate its various functions. This is particularly relevant to working with trauma, chronic conditions and emotional issues. Underlying Movement Shiatsu is two decades of research into infant development which showed that meridians are the pathways along which movement develops in the first year or so of life. So working with movement as well as touch is an effective way of reminding the body how to work in harmony and, at the same time, helps clients to become active rather than passive recipients of the therapy.
We offer various modules (see https://seed.org/seed-uk-programme/) which can be taken independently or taken together to qualify for a Postgraduate Diploma in Movement Shiatsu.
We also offer regular classes in Inner Qigong, both online and face to face. This form of Qigong focuses on developing awareness of Qi and on Experiential Anatomy. It is an essential part of Movement Shiatsu.
