Sarah Oldfield

Sarah has practiced in the healing arts of the East since her late teens. She started to understand the mind - body relationship with Chi Gong and T'ai Chi. At this time Sarah also began the practice and study of Buddhism and Buddhist meditation. Sarah considers this training the foundation stone in her life and Shiatsu Therapy practice.

After 7 years of study and practice Sarah went on pilgrimage to India, Nepal, Malaysia and Thailand. She found a new home and spiritual community with the White Tara School of healing arts in Sydney, Australia. Here, Sarah continued her exploration of the body mind relationship with a more dynamic form of healing martial arts called Pancha Tan Mantra. In this practice she was introduced to the Chinese 5 Elements and how they interplay in the body and effect all aspects of the human experience. Buddhist practice with mantra meditation and ancestral healing retreats took Sarah on a deep personal journey over 7 years. Qualifying as a teacher of Pancha Tan Mantra and leading retreats was the culmination of this journey. 

During this time Sarah was drawn to Shiatsu Therapy as a compasssionate expression of the inner work she was doing. It was time to find a modality, where this understaning of how the body mind work together, could be shared and benefit others. Qualifying in 2007 in Sydney, Sarah began working with older people in aged care facilities and in thecorporate sector as well as beginning her own private practice.
