Offering Shiatsu and Shintai bodywork as well as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Sessions often integrate these compatible approaches which can also be experienced independently.
My aim it to help clients feel valued and present in their body, with greater access to their innate vitality. Receivers often comment on feeling more 'at home' in their body through this interactive and empowering process of deepening into the 'felt sense' through which old patterns of restriction and dysfunction can express and transform.
My journey into this field of work began back in the early 1980's in New York City where I met Pamela Hannay, a student of Masunaga. The quality of her touch and listening helped me to understand myself better. Some years later, when back in London, I discovered the East West Centre in Old Street where I learnt about macrobiotics and shiatsu at the Kushi Institute with Michio & Aveline Kushi, and Shizuko Yamamoto and Patrick McCarthy. This evolved into the 3 year professional training program at the British School of Shiatsu-Do who subsequently invited me to teach.
Amongst many wonderful teachers, I found particular inspiration with Saul Goodman who greatly influenced my understanding and skills. I have continued Shintai work with him and am also qualified to teach post graduate workshops in Shiatsu Shintai.
My practise includes Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (trained with CSTET completed in 1997).
In addition my work has been with equines, integrating Equine Craniosacral Therapy (trained ECST), the Masterson Method and an understanding through Equine Shiatsu.
Sessions are offered in the quiet village of Chilmark some 12 miles west of Salisbury.
