Kim Lovelace Shiatsu Practitioner and Qigong Guide
PLEASE NOTE: I am currently taking a year out and not seeing clients until September 2026. I shall then only work from my home treatment room in Chichester and no longer using the Midhurst and Westbourne clinics. I won't have space to take on many, if any, new clients, but am happy to be contacted as a consultant with a view to discuss individual needs and suggest referral to other practitioners.
Qualifying as a Shiatsu practitioner in 1992 Kim has been in full time practice ever since. His areas of skill are in enabling space for change, when conditions (both physical and non-physical) have become "stuck". In particular those affecting posture, musculoskeletal function and self image.
Kim's other great love is the practice and teaching of Qigong. A form of exercise that combines movement, breath and imagery. Modified forms of this are frequently offered to clients as "homework".
Every Shiatsu session begins with a guided tour around the body, using Shiatsu touch as a means of drawing awareness to how specific areas feel, move and relate to the whole. Clients are encouraged to use the experience as a form of meditation on the body. Treatments combine the use of pressure points with muscle and joint stretches – the work is deep yet gentle, non-judgmental and respectful, focussed on each individual's need.
Outside the treatment room, Kim selfishly enjoys finding space for himself . . . within the body, outside the body, anywhere! This is especially precious when discovered in the least expected of places.
Being with and accepting receivers as they are, in the moment. Enabling, empowering and supporting change when the BodySoul is ready.
