Keith Phillips
I have been practicing shiatsu for forty five years and currently teach at the Bristol school of Shiatsu that I founded in 1985. Alongside, offering shiatsu treatments, I offer supervision to shiatsu practitioners and run post-graduate training courses.
About
I have been in private practice as a Shiatsu practitioner and therapist since 1982. During that time, I have worked with thousands of people both those seeking support in their own lives, and practitioners looking to deepen and sustain their work.
I am the founder and former principal of the Bristol School of Shiatsu one of the UK's longest-established professional shiatsu training schools. Working alongside my teaching team, I trained hundreds of students to become professional practitioners.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to stay present with whatever arises - physically, emotionally, and psychologically - within a therapeutic relationship. Whether as a Shiatsu practitioner, professional supervisor, a Transformational Dialogue therapist or as a Postgraduate Shiatsu teacher, the emphasis is the same: embodied presence, attunement, and trust in the relational field in which change unfolds.

Treatment Approach
My approach to shiatsu is deeply relational, one that recognises that the deepest healing arises out of the shared field we both inhabit where trust is built through our authentic connection. I am not there to fix you but provide an environment through embodied presence and touch where you can access your innate capacity for your own healing. Over more than forty-five years of practice, I have found there are very few health challenges or life difficulties that cannot be in some way helped by this remarkable healing art. Shiatsu touches us at the core, bringing deep relaxation, calm, vitality, and renewal.
