Jacqui Penman
A Shiatsu therapist who believes in self-care and Shiatsu
About
With a background in workplace wellbeing, public healthcare and delivering holistic cancer support Jacqui has followed her interest in holistic health and self-care practices to retrain as a Shiatsu therapist with The Shiatsu School Edinburgh, qualifying in 2023 after three years of study. Enthusiastic about self-care, she believes Shiatsu can play an effective and significant role in building physical, mental and emotional resilience for everyone.
One of her greatest pleasures is to be part of the small team of complementary therapists who volunteer at The Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh offering Shiatsu treatments to people attending the day clinic.
A founding member of Shiatsu Hub, a collaboration of Edinburgh based practitioners, who offer accessible Shiatsu Awareness Sessions at events, workshops and in workplaces.

Treatment Approach
I believe in a holistic approach, looking and listening to what the client tells me verbally and physically. My touch is has been described as 'earthy' and 'calming' and when I feel 'less is more' it's time to stop and let the client's mind, body and spirit respond to the treatment.
