Georgina Holt
I have been a member of the Shiatsu Society since 2016, and practice in Chepstow and Bristol.
About
I'm a Shiatsu practitioner offering trauma-informed, hands-on treatments for physical and emotional wellbeing. I trained with the Bristol School of Shiatsu and am a member of the Shiatsu Society UK (MRSS).
My focus is on how we hold emotion in our bodies, and with the aid of deep presence and supportive Shiatsu touch, we can become aware of patterns of holding and bring release.
My approach blends the wisdom of traditional Eastern practices with modern Western understanding. I believe the story of our lives is written into our bodies — in how we hold ourselves, our habits, gestures, and the tension we carry in muscles and joints. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I listen to both your words and your body, taking time at the start of each session to understand how an issue is experienced and how it shows up physically. This gives each treatment its own shape, tailored to what you bring on the day.
I offer an online Peer Supervision group for bodyworkers.
Alongside my shiatsu practice, I facilitate workplace and group wellbeing workshops, often closing sessions with guided meditation to help participants settle and integrate the work. I'm also a potter, and find a natural kinship between the two practices — both call for groundedness, presence, and close attention to what is moving through my hands in each moment.
I offer discounted rates available for courses of six. I also run a low-cost clinic in Chepstow and welcome enquiries from anyone wanting to explore whether shiatsu is the right fit for them
I offer a free 15-minute call for anyone wanting to discuss their needs before booking.
