Treatment Approach
Zen Shiatsu is rooted in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, working with the body’s meridian pathways to balance energy, release tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes. It uses gentle, sustained pressure rather than oil-based massage techniques, including stretching and joint mobilisations, and helps restore both physical and emotional equilibrium. It is fully clothed and treatments are on a ground level futon.
Therapeutic Flow Stretch has more of a physiotherapy-inspired approach to Shiatsu and is carried out on a treatment table with the client fully clothed. It combines assisted stretching, joint mobilisation, and rhythmic movement to improve flexibility, posture, and body awareness — ideal for people who feel tight, stressed, out of balance; or post exercise recovery.
During my Equine Shiatsu sessions I use gentle yet effective techniques to help release tension and restrictive holding patterns, be they emotional or physical. Helping your horse relax deeply to promote healing and repair.
