Claudia Zabke
I was born and raised in East Germany. I have 25 years of experience in biomedical research, both as a researcher and in associated roles. I have worked in academia, industry, and the NHS. For many years I have been drawn to Eastern Medicine, Taiji, and Qigong. More recently I have had the time and opportunity to delve deeper. I first came across Shiatsu in 2005 when I was pregnant with my first child. I was going through a difficult time and received a Shiatsu treatment from my cousin. The treatment was wonderfully comforting and soothing. It always stayed with me. I moved to Scotland in 2009 and have lived here ever since. I turned back to Shiatsu in 2018 after I had suffered a burn out. Having felt the mental, emotional, and physical benefits, I decided to give Shiatsu a go. I enrolled with the Aberdeen School of Shiatsu in 2020 and completed my training in 2024.
What I love about shiatsu is that it is accessible, non-judgmental, holistic, caring, safe, and emphatic.
I offer shiatsu to women of all ages in my home studio in Aberdeen.
