About me

After 28 years in teaching, charity administration and fundraising in New Zealand and the UK, I trained with the Shiatsu College in Norwich and graduated in June 2008. I am fully qualified with the MRSS certificate from the Shiatsu Society UK. I also trained in chair acupressure massage with the European Shiatsu School.

I was inspired to take up these trainings through receiving very successful Shiatsu treatment for RSI (Tenosynovitis). I have continued to be impressed by Shiatsu’s scope in dealing with many ailments, from biomechanical problems like limb-overuse disorders, through breathing difficulties and asthma, to depression and anxiety. To my practice I bring a keen interest in bodywork and particularly the use of attention and relaxation in the treatment of illness. I also bring skills in connecting with individuals and an ability to empathise. I have over 30 years experience teaching Buddhist meditation.
