About Me

I have been practising shiatsu since 1997. My initial shiatsu training was with the British School of Shiatsu-Do, and I have completed further training with Wellmother and the Shiatsu College. I am registered with the Shiatsu Society (MRSS) and with the CNHC.

I have a background in academic research. I have worked as a researcher at the Universities of Leeds, Manchester and Salford, and I have published work around emotional processes in psychotherapy, counselling training, and experiences of shiatsu. I am a member of the Alternative and Complementary Healthcare Research Network (ACHRN), and the Research sub-committee of the Shiatsu Society.

I have higher education teaching experience in shiatsu, health studies and psychology.

I am the contact person/convener for an ongoing support group for  shiatsu practitioners - Manchester Shiatsu Practitioners' Circle.
