Benefits:
A quarterly newsletter 'The Shiatsu Society News' is issued to all
members. An informative newsletter to students as it lists details of training schools,
workshops, local support groups, students tips, sample case studies, research,
book reviews, job vacancies, letters from other members, assessment details
and a selection of articles aimed at all levels of membership.
The newsletter gives details of how students can obtain books at a 20% discount (including text books), leaflets, promotional material and Shiatsu clothing which has been embroidered with the Shiatsu Society logo.
Local peer support groups can be invaluable as it gives you the chance to talk with other students and practitioners. Here, you can iron out any problems or issues you may have as well as giving each other a Shiatsu treatment! Many of the groups also market Shiatsu in their local area so this is another big advantage to a student about to graduate and looking to build up their practice. Most support groups are free!
